Alternative R&B vocalist and songwriter Yafeni was raised in between the outskirts of Lisbon, Portugal and Luanda, Angola and had always aspired to become a singer and an artist. After developing her vocals in Lisbon's Gospel Choir, she connected with producer and artist Soundskillz who ended up signing her to his newfound label. Together, in the course of the following year, they developed her unique sound.
