Haizea Huegun is a composer based in San Sebastian, Spain, whose music is a blend of tradition and modernism. Her interest in both popular and classical music, coupled with experimentation, shapes her aesthetic with a minimalist and modern classical bias. Among her projects, she stands out for composing four soundtracks, 'Corpórea' (2023), 'Erresistente' (2023), 'Sua irabazi arte' (2019), and 'Zauria(k)' (2019), as well as orchestrating the symphonic-choral work 'Gernika 85' (2022) by composer Aitor Etxebarria. Additionally, she was a finalist in the International Composers Competition Bruno Maderna in Ukraine (2021) with the piece 'Walks in the forest.' Currently, Haizea works as a composer for audiovisual media and conducts various workshops and courses related to musical composition and research on the history of classical music with a gender perspective.
