Valter Lobo is a songwriter who became renowned for his “Winter EP”, released in 2012, which quickly led him to perform in venues such the CCB and the Casa da Música, within the framework of Misty Fest, as the debut act before performances by Scott Matthew. With his first album, “Mediterráneo”, released in 2016, featuring songs such as “O Governo não sabe nada do nosso amor” (The Government does not know anything about our love), “Quem me dera” (I wish) or “Oeste” (West), he established himself as a songwriter to be watched.

In addition to the songs from “Mediterráneo”, Valter Lobo will bring to Westway LAB some unpublished songs that he will include in his next album scheduled to be released in 2020. Always exploring the Portuguese language and with strong vocals, with permanent melancholy to guide our sensations and intensity in live performances, Valter Lobo is a key artist within new Portuguese music, whose name will be heard a great deal in the near future.
