Originating from various contexts, both musical and geographical, the Swedish psychedelic marvel MaidaVale has been captivating audiences with its vibrant energy since it emerged in Stockholm’s underground scene a decade ago. The band blends neo-psychedelia and krautrock with influences ranging from post-punk and funkadelia to North African blues.
With their acclaimed debut album, Tales of the Wicked West (2016), they quickly conquered the major European rock stages and festivals. Their second album, the more krautrock-influenced Madness is Too Pure (2018), cemented the band’s place in the psychedelic rock scene with a bold and experimental approach to the genre.
In their third and latest album, Sun Dog (2024), MaidaVale paints with a broader, bolder, and brighter palette, diving deeper than ever into their unique vision of neo-psychedelia.
