The showcases of the artist residencies are one of the major original moments of Westway, as they reveal to the public the outcome of a unique creative process originating in Guimarães. After a week at the Candoso Creation Center – a time and space for total freedom in creation – the moment arrives to discover the final result of this highly artistic and cultural intersection. It is an incredible experience that takes place within the festival, which has already led to lasting connections that resulted in ongoing projects. With an inexhaustible and distinguishing energy generated by Westway in the LAB aspect, the showcases of the artist residencies are always truly surprising.
Estevão is a musician and actor, having made his debut in the music world with the album "Antes de Ir", written, composed, and produced by him. A work that marks the beginning of his artistic creation journey, before going to where he must reach.
Almost ready to be released, Estevão's next project is the album "Vitória & Esplendor" – with 12 exclusive and original songs.
The project is both a tree and a fruit, an end in itself, depicting the contradictions of the world we live in, and the world we are, and the very human attempt to reconcile these polarities.
