Polish composer, singer and
bassist, Misia Furtak became
known for her participation in
the indie rock band, Très.b, with
which she won several awards,
including a Fryderyk (the Polish
version of the Grammy awards).
In 2019, with her album “Co
przyjdzie?”, music critics ranked
her alongside the likes of PJ
Harvey, Feist and Cat Power.
Her latest album, “Wybory”
(2021), is a chronicle of the
previous 12 months in Poland.
Although she prefers not to describe her album as political, it
is loaded with social messages,
in particular the street protests
in Polish cities against the
Constitutional Court’s decision
on abortion and the restrictions
introduced as a result of the
Covid-19 pandemic.
