OuTonalidades - Portuguese Live Music Circuit,
the oldest event of d'Orfeu AC, reaches the whole country from one side to the
other, since 1997, through a wide network of programming spaces open to the
diversity of music that are performed on national territory. Dedicated to
emerging small-format musical projects, also seducing renowned musicians. At
each edition, a challenge is launched to join small-format cultural spaces,
such as café-concert venues, association bars or municipal theaters and other
small auditoriums, which host dozens of concerts between September 21 and March
21, after a pre-selection process (undertaken by d'Orfeu AC) and programming
(in conjunction with the venue programmers). OuTonalidades is coordinated by
d’Orfeu AC, in direct collaboration with numerous partners (Municipalities,
Theaters, Associations), in the consolidation of a large programming network,
ensuring a true live and active circuit for the music that is made in Portugal.
But not only. With the recent bet on alliances with foreign circuits and
festivals, the event has been providing opportunities for Portuguese groups to
travel across borders. This strategy, associated with exchanges with foreign
groups – who are also entering the Portuguese circuit – has affirmed
OuTonalidades at an international level.
