The Caleidoscópio Ensemble is a musical project created by eight musicians from various parts of the Minho, Portugal and directed by the composer and multi-instrumentalist, Bruno Pernadas. Created in the context of the Caleidoscópio Festival in 2022, the project’s main objective is to promote musical creation in the local community, through exploration of original compositions by the group’s various members. The instruments played by the eight musicians allows them to further their exploration of sounds and the various melodic, harmonic and rhythmic possibilities of their original compositions, using various harmonisation techniques and arrangements and free and harmonic improvisation, among many other musical approaches.
